I have trouble with transitional periods because of my stark all-or-nothing thought patterns. It seems so obviously simple now, but when I was freaking out and having panic attacks every day for a week over my temporary shift from the office to the field, this epiphany may have fucking come in handy. My extreme black and white thinking, of course, doesn’t allow me to half do a job or relinquish my duties for two months. It’s either my fucking job and I’m the only one who could ever do it or my boss has to get rid of me and take it away forever because I’m just the worst.
